Jason Winn is the award-winning director of the feature The Fat Boy Chronicles, released by Melee Entertainment, a movie adapted from the acclaimed teen novel now in bookstores. The story is a heartwarming, impacting and realistic view of high school life as told through the eyes of an overweight and bullied 9th grader. In Orlando’s Central Florida Film Festival, The Fat Boy Chronicles was awarded Best Feature while being nominated for the same award in other festivals country.
Winn’s career also includes the acclaimed narrative short Last Bullet, a story depicting two American soldiers caught in a life or death situation where an anguished decision decides which friend will live. This film was accepted into festivals in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and other cities. Winn’s efforts with Last Bullet won accolades for the movie and for himself—Best Short Film, Finalist awards, and Best Director. When Winn is not directing narrative films, he freelances as a director/producer for music videos and commercials. His directing and producing credits include a pilot for Turner Television along with a national ad campaign featuring basketball legend Bobby Knight, NFL quarterback Vince Young and NBA stars Steve Nash and Carmelo Anthony. Winn lives in Atlanta, GA, but frequently visits L.A. and New York where he freelances with ad agencies and production companies. |
